Kamala Harris Is Now Facing the Unthinkable

The question of who could replace Vice President Kamala Harris on the Democratic ticket could potentially become louder as time moves closer to next year’s election.

Who Could Replace Kamala Harris on Dem Ticket in 2024?  – The question of who could replace Vice President Kamala Harris on the Democratic ticket could potentially become louder as time moves closer to next year’s election.

What We Know

President Joe Biden’s age is something that will encourage this discussion. Is Kamala Harris presidential material if she has to step into the presidency? 

No president has replaced his elected vice president on the ticket since Franklin Delano Roosevelt replaced Vice President Henry Wallace with Harry Truman in 1944 because the former was viewed as too far to the Left. Wallace mounted a pro-Soviet presidential campaign four years later in 1948.  

Democrats have been extremely unhappy with Kamala Harris and her seeming inability to grow into her job. This has fueled speculation. 

Thus far, she has shown she has little comprehension of the nuances of foreign policy, a lackluster approach to dealing with the influx of millions across the Mexican border, and a constant tendency to put her foot in her mouth.

Harris chose to avoid taking on China’s Neo-Colonial expansionism across Africa head-on. Instead, she chose to cater to the sensibilities of Democratic Party partisans back home by stressing LGBT+ issues. Last September, she elicited a howling response from Australian political commentator, Rita Panahi, on Sky News Australia after she claimed the U.S. had an alliance with North Korea.  

She’s even been lampooned as the real-life equivalent of HBO’s Veep Selina Meyer, played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus, on The Daily Show by Dreyfus herself. 

Who Would Replace Kamala Harris 

The possibilities could include California Gov. Gavin Newsom. The vice president’s job in recent years has been acting as the point person or attack dog for the sitting president’s policies. Newsom has a reputation for being brash and tad arrogant; however, that role could be perfect if he were to replace Harris as Biden’s vice president in a second term. 

Newsom’s personal handling of homelessness and the pandemic have been lightning rods for controversy; however, he successfully fended off a recall effort in 2021. Unlike Harris, Newsom has significant executive experience, both as governor of California and mayor of San Francisco. 

At 55, Newsom is significantly younger than Biden who will be 86 in 2029 when he would leave office. 

More to Consider

People don’t vote based on the number two on the ticket; consequently, things that might be a liability at the top of the ticket are less so on the bottom.

Another possibility could be Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn. She’s popular in her home state of Minnesota and has been ranked as among the most likable senators. She can help Biden in the Midwest and is someone who is not among the more radical members of the Democratic caucus and has shown a willingness to forge a consensus with Republicans.

However, she might end up clashing with Biden do to his increasing radicalism.

Another strong choice would be Sen. Elizabeth Warren who has significant pull from the Left-wing of the Democratic Party. Her attack-dog style and rhetoric would be a good fit for Biden who has shown a passion for staple Left issues such as abortion rights, economic equity, and her Liberal stances on foreign policy. 

Warren also has greater name recognition.

Biden has options should Democratic Party leaders prevail on him to dump Harris.

    Eventually it seems that even the ability to suck a golf ball through a garden hose has its limits. Besides Gavin Newsome is much prettier.

    How about Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin for VP? Retired 4 Star general; exemplary record in military and civilian life. Very bright guy.

    Kamala is more Attorney General material than she is Vice Presidential material.

    Think about the possibility of Biden crossing the isle and asking Nikki Haley to be his running mate. She probably can’t get the republican nomination so maybe she becomes the vehicle to heal the divisiveness in Washington that the two parties have grown to. Biden is smart enough to know what she brings to the table and also is strong enough to try something so radicle.

    Worst Case Scenario:

    If Joe Biden leaves office for whatever cause. Kamala Harris becomes POTUS. She’ll run for POTUS in 2024 and win. Then She’ll run for POTUS again in 2028 and win.

    Kamala Harris didn’t get even one single delegate when she ran for president during the primaries because the voters universally rejected her.
    Kamala was chosen as VP based on being female and black and no other reasons. Anybody that replaces her better check off the correct “identity” boxes or they won’t be considered. Experience and ability are foreign concepts to the Progressives. Skin color, gender identity and sexual preferences are the only qualities they look for now.

    If Kamala Harris is to go, I think Elizabeth Warren would make an excellent vice president if Biden allowed her to do what she does best — solving problems. Heaven knows, we need her.

    Did you look at the assignments Pres. Biden gave her?
    Did you look at the Repub attacks?

    The only significant job Biden gave her that I recall was to be the “Border Czar”. Look at what that turned out to be. Over 3.5 M illegals in 2 years and 1.5 M in 4.5 months so far this year. Biden sent most of these people all over the country to eventually become Democrat voters. Harris is even dumber than Biden. God forbid she’d become President, and also the Gov. of CA who said, “I’d sell my heart and Soul for Calif.” Lucky he didn’t get hit by a bolt of Lightening.

    I can’t even comprehend why people are talking about Biden and Kamala running in 2024? Why not just resurrect Abbot and Costello and have them run? Same difference!

    Kamala is a fine VP. She’s done a much better job than Pence did! The only person talking about replacing her wrote this article to try and place a negative thought in people’s head that wasn’t there before. We WANT to see her as president!

    Nice list John…but you forgot to add Liz Cheney.

    The US Constitution is her creed. Liz Cheney has earned the respect of her former colleagues and citizens for sacrificing her political career in defense of the US Constitution. The January 6th insurrection was a pivotal moment in our country’s history. Liz stood for the constitution when other sided with their political party. Liz’s oath to uphold and/or defend the constitution increased her integrity. Her presence will attract voters across the political spectrum guarantee Joe Biden another term. Plus, she is on record saying she will do whatever she can to keep Donald Trump out of the Oval Office. When I think of Liz Cheney’s call-to-arms, I’m reminded of Thomas Paine when he wrote the following: THESE are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. This is the creed Liz Cheney stood to defend and it’s the assurance the citizens of this country that she won’t sell out her country.

    these people who would even consider any of those listed are not up on the world stage today…Due to Biden we are about to be in WW3…something we are not ready for…thousands of soldiers kicked out because they would not take Fauci’s vaccine he and Pfizer was making millions over..Biden sold our backup oil supply to China…he let that balloon from China slowly locate our missile sites, transmit info back to China..he and is family are in so deep in debt to China…I have never seen our country in such a bad shape in my 80 plus years..God help us..our close allies are slowly pulling out of NATO…so sad…we need Trump or DeSantis in NOW before it is too late..

    Newsom survived two grass root recalls not just one and is not very well thought of in my birth & home state of CA.(3 generations).

    He made some dumb moves during the pandemic like shuttering places of worship and partying at the French Laundry. The Sacramento radio station KFBK has a theme assigned to him:
    “Where’s Gavin?” Because he spends a lot of time AWOL/missing from CA. There also was a judgement/injunction against him during the pandemic because of his dumb moves. Just saying.

    I think that number #2 spot is going to have an incredible impact on this upcoming election because of Biden’s age. As someone pointed out, Biden will be 89 by the end of that second term. The chances of a vice president having to ‘take over’ grow greater by the year!

    Kamala’s one job was the border. As she has not even visited the border, I would say she failed miserably at her one main function as VP. They need to find someone else for that #2 spot.

    Do people really think that a nation such as this one, that started out as this one did, and ONLY one other started out the same way? (THAT IS WITH THE (KJV) Bible and prayer and the 10 Commandments etc) Would succeed when it told God “we don’t need you, or want you, we don’t need to pray or study your word or see your commandments etc We just want our will and our ways of perversion etc. The chances of this country, or any other succeeding is about as remote as one times ten to the 147th power!     Support a BIDEN-CHENEY 2024 ticket, or due to succession, you’ll see Kevin McCarthy, as the US President. There is a cure. Around 1862 Abe Lincoln added Andrew Johnson as his VP. Lincoln was a Republican and Johnson a Democrat. Lincoln did it as a conciliatory gesture because Johnson was faithful to the Union. In a similar manner, (à la Jan 6th insurrection) Liz Cheney was faithful to her oath of office to defend the US Constitution, not the MAGA-GOP. Cheney is the Nathan Hale of her generation. Also, in 1791, Madison and Jefferson joined forces in forming what would become the Democratic-Republican Party. Support, BIDEN-CHENEY 2024. Otherwise, if Joe runs in 2024 with Harris, and Joe gets ill and Harris replaces him, the country will have to remove Harris because she’s in way over her head and then thru succession, Kevin McCarthy will be president. Big problem. ADVOCATE AND SUPPORT A BIDEN-CHENEY 2024 TICKET!!! Harris is a liability to the country. Harris is not qualified. She represents affirmative action which is not associated with competency.

    That is simply not true. Many people changed their vote once Palin was added to the 2008 ticket. I was one of them.
