AOC: Running for President in 2028?

When AOC entered office, she began her time by leading a protest inside of then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) office.

God Help Us All if AOC Runs – President Joe Biden is running for reelection. He is the oldest person to be president in our country’s history. If he wins reelection, he’ll be the oldest president ever. Biden’s ascendancy to the White House was a fluke, though.

He was never wildly popular during his entire time as a senator and, later, as vice president in the Obama Administration. Biden was always there, giving people unwanted back rubs and saying racially insensitive things. It’s just that Biden was viewed as less insane than his 2020 opponent, Donald Trump.

As president, Biden has struggled. Sure, he’s gotten numerous pieces of legislation passed, but things are not going well for ordinary Americans.

The Biden Campaign thinks it can keep voters distracted from their economic woes by focusing on the fact that Donald Trump is again running for president and that the Republicans are trying to deprive women of abortion rights.

This amount of weak social arguments in the midst of painful economic and international crises.

There’s a good chance that Mr. Biden doesn’t get reelected.

Should Biden lose his reelection bid, the Democrats will be laid low. It is likely that we’ll get another four years of the obnoxious “resistance” that plagued the Trump era—whether Donald Trump is reelected in 2024 or if it’s another Republican candidate, like Ron DeSantis. Democrats will need to diminish the Republican who defeats Biden so they can have a realistic shot at reclaiming power in 2028.

The question is: who’d be the Democratic Party’s nominee in 2028 if Biden lost his reelection bid in 2024?

AOC’s Time Might Be Sooner Than We Realize (or Want)

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is the likely pick.

She’s a climber and a rabid Leftist who resonates well with the Democratic Party’s base. She’s also a media celebrity and presents well on television.

AOC has proven herself to be a reliable party hack as well. Sure, she campaigns and behaves in public as a radical Leftist firebrand. But the New York congresswoman clearly knows where her political bread is buttered.

When AOC entered office, she began her time by leading a protest inside of then-Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) office. Shortly thereafter, AOC’s penchant for political protesting ended. She still talked a big game. When it came down to it, though, she went where the party leadership told her to go.

She’s a female of color, which works in her favor with the Democratic Party base. And she’s young. That makes her very appealing to the powerbrokers in the DNC.

There is a generational shift occurring. Baby Boomers are dying off and giving way to the Gen-X’ers, Millennials, and Gen-Z’ers (a.k.a. the “Zoomers”). As the generational divide becomes more pronounced between young and old, AOC will be seen by the Democrats as a perfect avatar for the next generation of leaders.

Never mind the fact that she’s both insane and ignorant. That’s never stopped the Democratic Party from nominating someone like that to be president. In fact, you could argue that it’s a prerequisite. I digress.

AOC 2028: Bad for the Country, Good for Her

AOC’s ability to play ball with the party’s powerbrokers, her consistent rhetorical embrace of the most radical Leftist ideas and policies, her ethnicity, her sex, and her age, all these things lend themselves to a potential AOC run for higher office.

Should Biden lose, the Democratic Party will be looking for something entirely new and original. They just might find it in AOC.

It might not be good for the country.

But that hasn’t stopped the Democrats before. They will have elected in 2020 the country’s oldest person to the presidency. If he fails to gain reelection in 2024, they’ll go for someone much younger, like AOC.
